Double-head saws cut both ends of the aluminium or PVC profile in the same cycle, which is why they are the choice of workshops that produce series of windows and doors. The LGF range is split in two: the electronic models (Digit), where the electronic positioner brings the head to the dimension and reads cutting lists from USB, and the semi-automatic ones (MX), with the dimension read on a graduated scale.
How do you choose between the models? Start from the longest bar you cut: Gamma Digit works for lengths of 4, 5 or 6 m, while Delta Digit and Argo are more compact versions, with blades of up to 400 mm. For wide profiles there is Hydra Digit, and for compound cuts Urania. If you need tilting both ways, look for the “Swing” versions; if you work on one end only, see the single-head saws. Complete the saw with a measuring conveyor and an extractor. The full criteria are in the guide to choosing a cutting saw.
Electronic: On all models the moving head is positioned by an electronic positioner, and cutting lists are loaded from a USB stick.
Semi-automatic: On all models the right head is moved manually by hand wheel, and the measure is read on a precision graduated scale (digital display on request).
