Crimping joins the corners of aluminium profile frames with corner cleats, by pressing, and is the assembly operation for window and door frames. LGF corner crimping machines are pneumatic, work with all ranges of aluminium profiles and have a stamping force of 3,500 kgf. The range has two models: Hermes, with two pneumatic vices, and Scriba, the compact version, with one vertical pneumatic vice and 270 kg.
How do you choose? Both have the same force and the same maximum crimping height of 120 mm, so the difference is floor space and the number of vices. If you have limited space or a small workshop, Scriba is suitable; if you crimp larger series and want two vices, Hermes. The machines work with 7 bar compressed air (maximum 10 bar on Hermes), so check your compressor. In the flow, crimping comes after cutting, on a double-head or single-head saw. For the corner cleats themselves see the corner cleat saw. See the machine list for a complete workshop.
