Single-head saws cut one end of the profile per cycle and suit small workshops, varied jobs and cuts at different angles. The LGF range includes models with front cutting, such as Sirio, Olimpya or Venus, and models with upward cutting, such as Polaris, Penta or Astra A / Astra M.
The choice starts from what you cut and how much room you have. Sirio Digit sets the angle numerically, with motorised tilt from −22.5° to +22.5°. Venus (330 kg) and Astra A / Astra M (120 kg) are compact, and Vega cuts wide profiles of up to 400 mm. Some models have manual (M) and automatic (A) versions, for example Mida and Astra: the automatic ones save effort on larger series. If you cut many pieces every day with the same angles, compare with the double-head saws. A measuring conveyor is fitted next to the saw, and the swarf is collected by an industrial extractor.
