When a transom meets a mullion, its end must be milled to the shape of the profile it rests against. LGF end milling machines do this milling with a cutter pack mounted on a cutter spindle. The range goes from Ronda Digit, numerically controlled, for rounded ends (concave or convex) in curved joinery, with a minimum radius of 350 mm, to Lola, portable, 48 kg.
For high capacity, Derna machines profiles of up to 300 mm width at 90° and uses cutters of up to 200 mm. Star M / Star A mills at any angle between 45° and 90°, left and right, with manual (Star M) or automatic (Star A) feed, and Dixi is compact, 95 kg, with quick pneumatic change of the cutter spindle.
